Yes: Problems are rare & the most obvious is cramping & pain. The cervix can be anesthetized for endometrial biopsy. Hysteroscopy with biopsy may be performed after a local block that anesthetizes the uterus itself. Perforation of the uterus is possible but rare. And, of course, infection is occasionally a problem.
