Tested negative on a pap for hpv , could i have genital warts?

Yes: The pap is a focal exam of the cervical cells for the hpv types that like to grow at that site. The hpv strains causing anogenital warts are different and would not be assessed by a pap smear.

Other causes : There are other causes of warts that wouldn't be identified on a pap (other types of hpv) and there are other things that look like warts but aren't (molluscum contagiosum). See your doc.
