Pregnancy & Leukemia: Acute leukemia can sometimes be diagnosed in pregnant women. A young woman with acute leukemia should defer having a baby until at least more than 2 years in remission (free of leukemia) off any chemotherapy. Sometimes it is difficult to conceive after treatments but it is possible. Planning this ahead of time even before start of treatments with your doctor helps.

We live in a duplex on the lower level and recently tested for radon. It was 6.8 and maybe higher in the winter. We have lived here for 5 years. Our son was a baby here and is now 4. Is he at risk for cancer or leukemia now because of this?
