Presbyopia: Presbyopia, the inability to focus up close, doesn't usually occur until you are in your forties. At 21 years of age it is highly unlikely that you should need reading glasses. If you are having difficulty with reading small print you should have an exam by an ophthalmologist to determine if there is another reason for your difficulties, such as astigmatism.
