A member asked:

Is it possible to have a sinus infection when the secretions in my nose are clear?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: The color of nasal secretions does not rule out sinusitis. Sinusitis has the following symptoms. Nasal obstruction or congestion, facial pain, pressure, or fullness, pain or pressure between the eyes and pain or pressure over the eyes. Sphenoid sinusitis may produce pain on top of the head. Although it is true that yellow-green nasal drainage is common, allergic sinusitis may have clear drainage.
