A member asked:

I do blood test for liver and i found gamma gt is 93 and i never drink alkahol so what it is meant and is it the reason for my enlarge liver?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Some ideas: About 1 person in 1000 simply runs a GGT well above the reference range; it's genetic and means nothing. However, if your liver's large, something else is probably going on. It may be nothing but fatty change perhaps from not enough exercise, or your physician may order labs if other enzymes are up, or to rule out hemochromatosis ; wilson's.
