Frightening event: It's normal to be afraid that such a traumatic event is happening again. It's also very unusual for a 19 year old, otherwise healthy, male to have a tia. A thorough investigation into the cause of the original TIA is needed, including congenital (birth) defects in the heart, blood vessels or brain. Discuss with your doctor, to make sure you are being protected. Go to er if any concern.

PTSD: You are likely experiencing symptoms that are similar to symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder. Having as TIA can be a stressful experience. It will get better over time. You can also try yoga and medication, my patients find them quite helpful.
