Hopefully: You can hope the area will soon fade and look like the normal surrounding skin color, but by not letting the area heal itself best, by leaving the scab on it, you unfortunately increased the risk of minor scarring with faded skin. You can help by using a topical antibiotic cream, which may help speed up any possible healing process. Best wishes.
