Maybe (not) . . .: Best to go see your family doc. It's not normal to wake up coughing/wheezing. Perhaps you have a pneumonia? Or you aspirated something (went down wrong tube)? Heart failure can cause wheezing. Emphysema (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or copd) can cause coughing/wheezing too. Excessive coughing can lead to throwing up (post-tussive emesis). Dehydration by itself doesn't cause cough/wheezing.
