Through the Device: You can put bone graft, dbm, or even nothing in the device and it should fuse. Bone can grow through the device and fuse one vertebra to the other. Bone graft commonly used include autograft (from your hip or other vertebrae) or allograft (from someone else). Even if nothing is put in the middle it will generally fuse.
