Does clonidine help with seizures ?

No: Clonidine is a very powerful hbp medicine that is not used to treat seizures. In very extreme circumstances, Clonidine overdose may cause symptoms. There are several off label use of Clonidine but I have not heard of seizures being one of them. Do not use without medical supervision.

Chloride channel: Klonpin is a long acting benzodiazepine drug that works on the chloride channel. It activates inhibitory neurons in the brain that in turn dampen the activity of excitatory inputs. Klonopin (clonazepam) seems to work in a sub set of of epileptic syndromes and is generally used in conduction with an other anticonvulsant.

No: Agree with dr. Schabelman. If you are experiencing seizures, do not try Clonidine for them, rather seek evaluation of them by a neurologist. Hope that helps!
