Tonsil stones: Tonsil "crypts" hold accumulation of food, bacteria and sloughed off cells that form soft "stones" which eventually pop out. They increase with allergies and throat infections, are annoying, occasionally cause pain, rarely cause infection. Treatment is tonsillectomy which would only be used if there are other related problems. You may remove them gently with a tooth brush or clean fingernail.

Cyst or abscess: You could have a retro pharyngeal cyst or abscess. You should see an ear nose and throat specialist.
