It is possible for: Stress to be related to weight gain because some people eat more under stress. They may also grab quick comfort foods which are often high in carbs and sugars. If you want to crunch, try celery over chips. Peace and good health.

Stress ; weight: I agree with dr. Seif about stress-related eating, which can contribute to weight gain. I would add that long-term stress can also lead to elevations of cortisol with Insulin resistance -- which can certainly lead to weight gain, especially in the abdomen. This type of fat also is very active metabolically, leading to derangements in the way your body regulates appetite. Diabetes can result too.

Stress leads to +lbs: Stress leads to a number of various changes in the body that can cause weight gain. Stress increases cortisol levels which can increase the amount of weight around the waistline. Also, most people eat poorly under stress which increases weight. Stress also causes insomnia which often leads to overeating during the day.
