Not equivalent: 6/6 is the metric system equivalent of 20/20 in Snellen notation. If your eyeglasses correction is -2.00, then you will not see the 6/6 line with the uncorrected eye. If wearing -2.00 allows you to see that line, then you probably have normal, healthy eyes with a little need for optical correction only.
