A member asked:

Duloxetine (cymbalta) and alcohol, is it okay to mix?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe: Alcohol and Cymbalta (duloxetine) are both metabolized by the liver. That means when you use them both, the alcohol stays in your system longer than it normally would. So every drink will feel like 2 or 3. It's not that you CAN'T drink, you just need to exercise caution, because you WILL get drunk faster and you WILL stay drunk longer. If, however, you have a history of alcohol or drug problems, NO! Be well
