Nope: I can't see any logical reason these would have any connection. You have concerns about your child's growth, and this always warrants a visit. Sounds like you also may be concerned about too much TV time, which is a valid one! AAP recommends limiting screen time to one hour a day! I prefer less!

I agree. Read the : AAP recommendations on screen time at http://www.healthychildren.org/English/family-life/Media/Pages/Where-We-Stand-TV-Viewing-Time.aspx. A maximum of 1-2 hours of entertainment media/ day is based on research linking more screen time to obesity, higher blood pressure and cholesterol, sleep loss & problems at school in children & teens. Avoid screen time for children under age 2.
