Can the burn scars on my hand ever heal?

Simple answer... yes: However, scars take up to 1 year to mature (or fully heal). Depending on how extensive the burn was, your hand may never look like before it was burned. Scars will fade/flatten over time but will not go away completely. With regards to the hand specifically, burn scars can cause contractures and lead to decreased function. If this happens, you need to consult with your hand / plastic surgeon.
