A member asked:

Why is there blood when i blow my nose? explanations please?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

ENT check: The nasal mucosa is a very vascular structure and blowing too hard may rupture a small blood vessel. Such bleeding can usually be treated by taking a piece of cotton baton, put it in ice and insert into the nostril and squeeze for about 3 minutes. However, you really need a specialist to look at your nasal lining and septum and make absolutely sure you have nothing more serious.
