Torture vs hygeine: Female circumcision involves the removal of the penis equivalent (clitois) along with other nearby structures.It is thought that this would eliminate the risk of promiscuity by removing the pleasure center of sex. Male circumcision is not comparable. It removes part of the foreskin that occasionally traps the glans and may cause auto-amputation, infection, etc.
