A member asked:

How come people say you can catch a cold from cold air or being out in the rain? is it possible?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cold: No. This is an Old wives' tale. You contract a bacterial or viral infection from coming into direct contact with a carrier of the infection. Cold air or rain does not cause a viral or bacterial infection.
