Trouble in site: The composure of a therapist can be broken when an issue involving an inappropriate relationship with a patient comes to the surface. The issue likely caught the therapist off guard, but most will collect their thoughts and move forward. This is not a rare problem, but each therapist may face it differently.

Transference/Counter: Countertransference is the name for the normal feelings a therapist has while working w/patients. He/she is trained to process these feelings and keep the best interest of the patient in mind. The patient has feelings called transference and these are often projected feelings from other people in life, e.g., parent, partner, etc. As patient works through the transferrence he/she gains clarity.
