More info: Need more information. Are you referring to wax to protect the cheeks or marking paper to evaluate the occlusion? Describe the material used.

Ask: To be sure, ask your treating Dentist or Orthodontic Specialist. It's probably band cement placed on the chewing surface of back teeth to create a Bite Turbo. It's designed to temporarily open your bite, preventing you from over-closing into your new braces and knocking the braces loose. It will wear down with time, or the Dentist orOrthodontist will remove it when no longer required.
