Wisdom tooth: If this was a recent extraction, this is normal healing. If it has been longer than 2 weeks, have it examined by the surgeon.

How long?: If it's been there for more than a day ot two since the tooth was extracted, call the dentist who extracted the tooth and ask him/her. The dentist might want to see you for an evaluation.
