Chlamydia: Levofloxacin will no longer treat gonorrhea. And, it does not in any way treat chlamydia. If you need treatment for both you will need a shot and then pills for chlamydia. The shot for the new version of gonorrhea spreading around the world is known as ceftriaxone.

Yes: Levaquin (levofloxacin) 500 mg daily for 7 days is an acceptable alternative to Doxycycline or azithromycin.
