39 years old. long history of painful, heavy regular periods and getting worse. had sono yesterday found 6mm polyp/normal lining. any opinion ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Polyp: Polyps of the endometrium are very common. They may or may not be the cause of your heavy flow. A hysteroscopy can be performed to remove the polyp. If this helps than you know the heavy flow was related to the polyp. However, polyps can reoccur. As stated above, polyps are not uncommon , are usually benign, and may not be the source of bleeding.
