Yes: If you have hypertension you should avoid decongestant, usually with the letter "d" after the medication (robitussin (guaifenesin) d, Allegra d, etc) usually the d for decongestant is pseudoephedrine, a stimulant that iincrease bp, heart rate and can get you in trouble. Don't confuse with dm for dextrometorphan, a cough suppressant medication that is ok.
