Not necessarily: The socket healing, after extraction, may depend on several other factors rather than a "normal" healing time. The overall health of the individual (diabetes, immune disorders, blood disorders, ) may affect the time range. Also, the extraction procedure itself may affect- bony, soft tissue, both, sectioning the tooth, position of the tooth and roots prior to extraction, ) infection, home care.

Tooth extraction : is a surgical procedure and is not completely risk-free. Dry socket is a common complication, but is rare. Pain and swelling following surgery is usually at its worst 24 – 48 hours after surgery. Muscle spasm and limited range of motion of the jaw are minor complications. After that it should subside more and more every day and after 7 days stop.
