Indefinite: The hpt depends on the specific hormone being present in the urine. This in turn depends on how much hormone is in the blood and how well [or not well] the kidneys are filtering. A negative is not reliable. There are women 2 mos pregnant with negative hpt. A blood test, hcg, is completely reliable but needs ordered by your doc.
