Yes, but...: Most of the time, anxiety is just what it appears to be--a psychological problem that should be treated psychologically (i.e., with psychotherapy). Some medical conditions can cause similar symptoms. If your doc has ruled out likely medical causes, see a psychologist/psychiatrist. Don't keep searching for ever-more obscure ; unlikely medical explanations. If it looks like anxiety, it probably is.

Just as we get: Anxious in response to life stressors and can have a psychosomatic reaction, i.e., stress manifesting in bodily symptoms. We can also have somatapsychic reactions, i.e., a physical illness that generates anxiety. I agree with the earlier response to your post. A mental health professional can teach you techniques to mange your stress. Peace and good health.
