Low oxygen: Low oxygen during sleep can be due to sleep apnea. There are other causes for low oxygen (hypoxia) including copd/emphysema, pulmonary and interstitial lung disease. I do recommend he follows with a physician to rule out other causes. If it is sleep apnea he may need oxygen at night and machine called CPAP to force air into his lungs.
