Can you still have a hematoma after one year after total hysterectomy?

Not likely: One yr after hysterectomy a hematoma should have resolved, but may have formed into a cyst. There may also form scar tissue. Rarely an abscess will form. All of these can be the source of continued pain. An ultrasound is probably the best and easiest and cheapest way to visualize, although it probably would not "see" scar tissue or adhesions.
