Certainly some: Individuals experience an episode of shortness of breath coupled with obsessive thoughts during a period of tremendous anxiety which is relieved when episode is over. If this is what you mean by "low brain function" then you would be well served by a therapist skilled in behavioral therapy. If you refer to something else then it needs to be defined better.
