Variation is normal: On the pill your cycles are very predictable and every 28 days. Your normal cycles may not be 28 days long. Count from the first day of one period to the first day of the next to get your cycle length. Do this for the next three or four months to see what your pattern actually is. There are also tracking apps that you can download for a smartphone, if you have one. 1-2 day variation is normal.
