Syndrome: Burning tongue syndrome is a puzzling problem that may be due to vitamin deficiency, allergy to toothpaste or intolerance of certain foods or liquids, but in most cases the cause is unknown. The rib cage tightness may be muscle strain. Lung causes usually have cough and pain on deep breathing.
