URI: These symptoms suggest an infection of the upper respiratry tract-probably viral. If there are fevers, sweats, worsening cough, more chest discomfort on inspiration, wheezing, get checked for more serious bacterial infection including pneumonia. Otherwise take a nonprescription cough syrup for soothing relief.
