Depends: There are many types of leukemia and many types of treatment for each type. Some require just observation alone, otheres require aggressive, multiagency chemotherapy. Treatment can be quite expensive. Your best bet is an academic center that has extensive experience correctly diagnosing, treating and managing leukemia.

See below...: Leukemia is multifactorial, being usually the consequence of genetic predisposition possibly combined with environmental factors. The treatment is complex and usually consists of chemotherapy with or without transplant, under the guidance of a hematologist/oncologist. The treatment is relatively long (months) but not continuous and some types can be cured. It is usually expensive.
