Shoulder: The sensation of grinding within a joint usually signifies some structural problem within that joint arthritis, tendonitis, bone spurs ; loose boney fragments, etc. Are a few potential causes. Sometimes symptoms may be transient, while other times treatment is necessary. Consultation with your physician or an orthopedic surgeon is recommended. X-rays or MRI will likely be part of the evaluation.
