Arthritis treatment: Regardless what is the cause or type of arthritis the remedy is available. Keep a healthy weight, exercising and physical therapy will ameliorate the symptoms. No numbness with OA: Arthritis is not typically associated with numbness and pain. Your symptoms are consistent with nerve compression. Median nerve compression, i.e.. Carpal tunnel, causes numbness and/or pain in thumb, index, long and half of ring finger. Ulnar nerve compression causes numbness and pain in little and half of ring finger. See a hand surgeon.
