Possible: It is possible to spread a cold sore to your child by kissing when there are active lesions. The dots should all be clustered and resemble a cold sore. If the "pimples" are more scattered, it is more likely to be a skin infection like folliculitis or impetigo, which is treated with oral or topical antibiotics.
