Effects ????: If your question concerns the long term residual effects of this terrible disease the answer is maybe. Once meningitis has killed pockets of nerve cells they will never grow back or function normally.They also leave behind scars that may trigger seizures that may be controlled with medicine. Physical therapy and retraining can regain some functions but others may be gone forever.
