Mom's been diagnosed with a cholangicarcinoma?

Support: I am sorry to hear of this. Cholangiocarcinoma is cancer of the bile ducts associated with the liver and gall bladder. What this will mean for her will vary greatly depending on the specific type of cancer and it's location. Regardless, you will both need a lot of support and information. Her team of physician would be the best source of information for her.

Cholangiocarcinoma: Sorry to hear about your mother. The role of chemotherapy is evolving in patients with advanced cholangiocarcinoma. No single chemotherapy agent or combination regimen consistently leads to objective tumor shrinkage, forestalls recurrent obstruction following palliative intervention, or extends survival beyond 8 to 15 months. Try Clinicaltrials.gov for active trials available.
