Be more specific : Your question is not very specific. Patients with cirrhosis are just as susceptible to the common cold as patients without cirrhosis and are not at any greater risk. In my practice I do not see higher incidence. Any patient with cirrhosis attempting to treat symptoms of a cold must ensure they speak to their doctor about safety of common OTC medications, especially those containing Tylenol (acetaminophen)
