Could the common cold cause flatulence?

Dr. Lynn Wung answered

Gas: With a cold, postnasal mucus can drain down our throats, usually while we're sleeping. Swallowing all that mucus can cause some stomach fullness, gas, abd cramping and sometimes softer/mucus-mixed bowel movements.
