A member asked:

Will my daughter ever fully recover from marijuana abuse?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Mutual Support Helps: "fully recovering" may entail participation in a recovering community. This participation may last a lifetime. Many addicts not only have their full functioning restored as part of recovery; they may be more functional than when they started using. Having a parent who participates in the recovery process (e.g. Families anonymous) can be a tremendous support for the child.
