Avoid if possible: First of all weight loss for teenage girls can be tricky because while they are still growing and have nutritional needs to support growth and development, many try to cut calories. Be clear if the teen really has excess weight and if so, work with a physician and or a nutritionist to safely and effectively lose weight. Diet, exercise and and healthy habits are better than shakes!
