A member asked:

Which vitamin taken in large doses , what drugs are associated with liver injury?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Vitamin A: So don't eat that polar bear liver raw (it contains mega-doses of vitamin a)! vitamin a doses greater than 100, 000 iu / day are well known to cause liver damage, and even 25, 000 iu at a time can be dangerous. Beyond that iron can damage the diseased liver (hap c, cirrhosis), and herbal supplements can sometimes contain liver toxins. And you thought valerian was good for you!
