Floater removal can: be accomplishes by one of two methods. The less invasive method is through YAG laser removal that can be performed in office. This works best for solitary small or medium sized floaters. The alternative is a surgical vitrectomy where we surgically remove the vitreous gel and thus the floaters. This is a surgical procedure though and carries the normal inherent risks of any ocular surgery.
