Anal surgery: Anal warts are common - caused by hpv virus which many people have. They are not dangerous, but are contagious and should be removed. If only a few are present inside the anus, a doctor can burn or freeze them in the office with only a scope and local anesthesia. However, if many are present, a trip to operating room is needed. Eventually, all will be destroyed and you'll be ok. Peter wilk, md.
