A balanced diet is: all that you really need. Rather than get bogged down in complex formulas for calories and percentages, the easiest thing to do is eat three or four meals per day where your plate is 1/2 fruits and veggies, 1/4 protein (meat, eggs or soy), and 1/4 carbs (pasta, bread). Feel free to eat healthy snacks whenever you are hungry. Don't eat junk or fast foods and you'll be fine!

Depends: depends on your needs and workout goals. Some say paleo, some go for high protein and others go for vegan but I agree with a mix of Paleo diet with a health addition of protein supplements, good multi-vitamins and juicing.
