A member asked:

Could you tell me what is the percentage chance of getting eczema vaccinated from the smallpox vaccine if you have eczema?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Confusing question: Eczema is not caused by the smallpox vaccine but can worsen due to many stressful processes. Smallpox vaccine has also not been given to the general population in the us since about 1980, after the world health organization declared it extinct. When it was available, it was never given to patients known to have eczema because of a major life threatening complication from the vaccine.
